Dreith received 5 inches of snow last Wednesday on top of 8 inches the prior weekend. “I’m hoping we can get started the first part of May. It’s just going to depend on how much it warms up,” he said April 19. A lot of fertilizer was applied last fall, alleviating some spring fieldwork pressure, he noted. Dreith grows corn and soybeans with his dad and is a certified organic inspector.
