Harvest has been slowed by damp and cool conditions, Twedt said Oct. 13. “We’re maybe half done with corn and just one-third done with beans,” he said. “Corn moisture is coming down pretty slow. We’re not getting a lot of drying days.” Farmers were fighting green stems in soybeans, but he hoped last week’s hard frost would help.
