Farmers were edging back into fields after about 2 inches of rain limited work for several days, Morey said April 27. “By Monday, everybody will probably be going,” he said. “The corn that was planted early has a sprout but really hasn’t done anything the past couple of weeks. As of right now, it doesn’t look like the cold weather hurt it too much.” He noticed some winterkill in alfalfa.
