“We’re getting by but could use some rain,” Glienke said Aug. 5. He said cooler temperatures at the end of last week combined with a few small shots of rain in recent weeks are keeping things going in his fields. Dryness is really showing up in his alfalfa fields. He plans on making his third cutting this week but is concerned about hay quality. He is also finished applying fungicide.
