Iowa crop conditions are looking very good as we approach harvest. 75% of soybeans are rated Excellent/Good, 20% Fair, 4% Poor, and only 1% is expected to be Very Poor. 80% of the Iowa corn crop is rated Excellent/Good, 15% Fair, 4% Poor, and only 1% Very Poor. Spotty, excessive late season rains have moved some soybeans from the Good status to the Fair condition status.  Iowa is looking better than the U.S. as a whole which has about 68% in the Excellent/Good category.
