For nearly 30 years, Davis Seed Company Inc. has been helping its customers select the best seed for their farms while keeping a close connection to those growers.

Richard Davis and his son, Scott, worked for other seed companies in the 1970s and 1980s, but then the two joined forces to create Davis Seed Company near Moravia.

In the beginning, the company sold corn, soybeans and alfalfa, Scott said.
