Hog farmers prepare for new antibiotic limits

An antibiotic rule issued last week by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will limit pig farmers’ ability to use some antibiotics to treat their animals. But industry leaders at last week’s World Pork Congress in Des Moines said they are prepared to work closely with farmers to smooth the rule’s implementation.
