The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 16 cents, averaging $3.22 across Iowa according to AAA.
Crude Oil Summary
- The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $.82 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $80.30.
- Brent crude oil fell $3.35 and currently priced at $85.30.
- One year ago, WTI crude sold for $66.18 and Brent crude was at $70.86.
Motor Fuels
- As of Wednesday, November 30, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.22 across Iowa according to AAA.
- Prices fell 16 cents from last week’s price and 8 cents higher than one year ago.
- The national average on Wednesday was $3.50 down 14 cents from last week’s price.
- Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 13 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.85.
- One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.42 in Iowa.
- The current Iowa diesel price is 33 cents less than the national average of $5.18.
- Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
- The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $1.99 for U87-E10, $2.29 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $2.99 for ULSD#2, $4.34 for ULSD#1, and $2.43 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Heating Fuels
- Propane prices were steady with a statewide average of $1.93 per gallon.
- Home heating oil prices fell 37 cents, with a statewide average of $4.06 per gallon.
- Natural gas prices rose 28 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $6.93/MMbtu
