The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 6 cents, averaging $2.91 across Iowa according to AAA.
Crude Oil Summary
- The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $.41 per barrel and is currently priced at $77.19.
- Brent crude oil rose $.19 and is currently priced at $82.29.
- One year ago, WTI crude sold for $78.20 and Brent crude sold for $83.22.
Motor Fuels
- As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.91 across Iowa according to AAA.
- Prices fell 6 cents from last week’s price and are down 33 cents from a year ago.
- The national average on Wednesday was $3.25, down 5 cents from last week’s price.
- Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell 10 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.07.
- One year ago, diesel prices averaged $4.88 in Iowa.
- The current Iowa diesel price is 16 cents lower than the national average of $4.23.
- Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
- The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.04 for U87-E10, $2.27 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $2.70 for ULSD#2, $3.08 for ULSD#1, and $1.95 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Heating Fuels
- Propane prices rose 1 cent with a statewide average of $1.55 per gallon.
- Home heating oil prices rose 4 cents, with a statewide average of $3.51 per gallon.
- Natural gas prices fell 7 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $2.82/MMbtu.
