Iowa cropland cash rent rates rose to a record $269 per acre this year, according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service. Rental rates increased $13 per acre from last year, the USDA said. The previous high cash rental rate in Iowa was $260 per acre in 2014. 

Irrigated cropland rent averaged $271 per acre, $19 above 2022. Pasture rented for cash averaged $60.50 per acre, a $1 increase from a year ago.
