Fall is a great time to apply lime to correct soil pH imbalances. Maintaining proper soil pH is the foundation to good soil fertility and achieving maximum yield.
As soil pH declines, more hydrogen ions (H+) occupy cation exchange (CE) sites that should contain crop nutrients necessary for crop growth.
