FB delegates set policy on trade, watershed management and infrastructure

County Farm Bureau voting delegates adopted policies aimed at enhancing trade, watershed management and transportation infrastructure last week at Iowa Farm Bureau’s (IFBF) annual Summer Policy Conference in West Des Moines. Delegates representing the 100 county Farm Bureaus also crafted policies addressing regulatory pressures and recreational water trails, among others, over the course of two days of debate during the conference.
"Our voting delegates discussed these priority issues and planned our course of action for 2014," said IFBF President Craig Hill, noting that members also raised several issues that were referred to policy development for further study. "It’s an evolving, continuing process, and we do have several issues to begin studying in the new year."
