There are indications that an El Nino condition could be developing, which may bring improved chances for rainfall and moderate temperatures to Iowa and other Midwest states. But the more weather favorable pattern, if it does develop, is not likely to aid this year’s corn and soybean crops, according to Elwynn Taylor, Iowa State University (ISU) Extension climatologist.
