The Trump administration’s denial of 54 pending small refinery exemptions (SREs) for past compliance years is a major step toward restoring the integrity of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), Iowa Farm Bureau President Craig Hill said last week.

The so-called “gap year” waivers, dating back as far as 2011, would have allowed oil companies to bypass biofuel blending requirements.
