November brought numerous dry days to Iowa, with much of the state’s precipitation coming from two major weather systems, one during the second week of the month, then another later in the month.  

Moving into the winter season, total soil moisture is below normal in a large part of Iowa, according to the latest information from the Climate Prediction Center.
