A panel of John Deere executives, including Chairman and CEO John May, debuted innovative, cutting-edge technology from the manufacturing giant during the annual CES 2023 tech conference held last week in Las Vegas.

Advancements such as John Deere’s ExactShot, which targets starter fertilizer application to a specific seed location, and improvements to the company’s See & Spray Ultimate in-crop sprayer, which identifies and sprays individual weeds utilizing computer vision, not only save on input costs but also provide environmental benefits.

With these technological advances, starter fertilizer utilization can be reduced by more than 60% while herbicide applications can be one-third of traditional sprayers.
