The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input on the proposed project to improve 14 culverts along Iowa 202 from just north of the Missouri State line to the City of Moulton, and the proposed detour.

The proposed project will consist of replacing 5 wood box culverts with 24-inch up to 54-inch in diameter reinforced concrete pipes and slip-lining the remaining 9 wood box culverts. The project is scheduled to take place during the 2021 construction season.

Through traffic would be directed to use an official off-site detour. The 26.5-mile marked detour will follow Iowa 2, U.S. 63, and Missouri 202. It is anticipated the detour will be in place for the duration of the construction. Access to all properties shall be maintained at all times, and local traffic will have access to Iowa 202 except for the lanes crossing project areas closed due to construction.
