“Things are pretty green, which is good,” Fisch said June 12. “Unfortunately, the weeds are growing just about as fast as the crops are.” Postemergence spraying is about wrapped up. Corn is roughly 18 inches tall on average, with beans from 2 to 6 inches tall. “The last two weeks we’ve gotten a couple good shots of rain,” she said. Corn rootworm larvae have appeared.
