The future of prepared food is helpful, healthy and hyper-personalized, according to food trends expert Jack Li, speaking at the 2020 National Pork Forum in Kansas City in early March.

Li said current trends in prepared food (food sold at restaurants or by meal kit services) are for foods that do something, or what Li calls “positive nutrition.” Terms such as high protein, antioxidant, low carb and probiotic score high on recent surveys of consumers.
