The federal government’s proposed new Clean Water Rule provides commonsense guidelines that will both protect water quality and provide farmers clear rules to follow, according to Craig Hill, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) president.

“Farmers and ranchers want clean water, and we want clear rules,” Hill said last week at hearing on the water rule in Kansas City, Kansas. “That is why I am speaking today to support the proposal for the revised definition of waters of the United States under the Clean Water Act, with a few changes.”
