The Iowa Monarch Conservation Consortium, a partnership of farmer and conservation organizations, state agencies, companies and Iowa State University, is gearing up for another year of increasing habitat in Iowa for the monarch butterfly. 

The consortium was formed officially in 2015. Key players helped develop a state conservation strategy identifying how the different parties involved could protect the monarch and establish goals for 20 years. The first six months of 2020 will prove critical in dictating the path the consortium takes.
