Beef expo brings out the best

The Iowa Beef Expo is still the place where cattle men and women go to meet other breeders, introduce themselves and their cattle to potential buyers, and for camaraderie for those in the purebred cattle business.

Last week’s Iowa Beef Expo at the Iowa State Fairgrounds was the 26th for Bob Bosch of Indianola. He started coming to the show simply because it was close to home.

“We were getting started in the business, and we thought it would be a good opportunity to market stuff,” he said last week.

He started the business 40 years ago with his wife on 4 acres.

“We built our farm from scratch,” he said....
