The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and University of Iowa Athletics are teaming up to give one Hawkeye fan four courtside tickets to the Iowa vs. Maryland men’s basketball game Jan. 15.

In addition, the winner of the ANF Hawkeye Hoops Fan Experience will receive four VIP Feller Club passes, a Hawkeye locker room tour, parking and hotel accommodations, a Fran McCaffery signed basketball and ANF apparel.

“Hawkeye fans have long embraced the significance of the America Needs Farmers (ANF) mark started by Coach Hayden Fry during the 1980s Farm Crisis to showcase why agriculture is important to all of us,” says Brent Johnson, Iowa Farm Bureau president. “This ‘Hawkeye Hoops’ contest showcases the values athletes and farmers share in common — their drive, their commitment to their team and their desire to improving their craft.”

Fans can enter to win by answering five multiple-choice questions about how farmers are raising livestock and crops with nutrition, sustainability and animal care in mind. The deadline to enter is Jan. 9 at www.americaneedsfarmers.org.

ANF apparel is also available year-round, with a portion of apparel proceeds benefiting the Iowa Food Bank Association. To date, the Iowa Farm Bureau and ANF partnership has raised more than $180,000 to feed hungry Iowans.
