By building on its strong heritage and keeping a clear vis­ion for the future, the American Farm Bureau Fed­eration (AFBF) is ready to take on the wide range of challenges farmers face today, Bob Stallman, AFBF president, said in his opening remarks to the organization’s 95th annual convention last week in San Antonio.

And that, he said, is a stark contrast to the situation in Wash­ington, where extreme partisanship is king and political courage is apparently in short supply.
