Warmer Weather Leads to Some Shorter Christmas Trees at Local Tree Farm

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – at least at the local tree farms in Central Iowa.
Many opened this weekend for families to start their traditions of picking out that perfect tree. At Howell Tree Farm in Cumming, the owners say there’s been a constant stream of customers since Saturday when the “Christmas tree” season officially began. But due to some warmer weather, co-owner Jenny Howell says there aren’t as many towering trees to choose from this year.
