U.S. pork production increased 10.4% from 9.4 million Metric tons (MT) in 2005 to 10.4 million MT in 2014 (see Figure 1). At the same time, U.S. pork exports rose from 1.2 million MT in 2005 to 2.2 million MT in 2014, representing an 82% increase during that period.
