Iowans in every county of the state will see something different, and something unusually green, this fall as farmers wrap up the 2013 corn and soybean harvest.
Newly-germinated seeds of winter rye, tillage radish, triticale and other plants, which were sown as cover crops, are just starting to emerge on thousands of Iowa acres, pushing through the black dirt of harvested fields.
