The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input on the removal and replacement of the Business U.S. 61/West River Drive bridge over Iowa 22 in Davenport. The existing bridge, built in 1957, will be replaced by a concrete beam bridge with greater vertical clearance for Iowa 22. The Iowa 22 interchange ramps will be modified to improve safety and mobility and Iowa 22 will be reconstructed between the interchange ramps.

Business U.S. 61 traffic will be detoured during construction using Iowa 22 and Interstate 280.

For general information or to make a comment regarding the proposed improvements, contact Sam Shea, transportation planner, Iowa DOT District 6 Office, 5455 Kirkwood Blvd. SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404, phone 319-364-0235 or 800-866-4368, email sam.shea@iowadot.us.
