Public input requested for proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 9 in Howard County

The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input for a proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 9 over the North Branch of the Turkey River, approximately 4.3 miles east of U.S. 63 in Howard County.
The proposed project involves replacing the existing 75’ x 28’ continuous concrete slab bridge with a 100’ x 44’ continuous concrete slab bridge. The project will also involve shoulder reconstruction and new guardrails.
Construction of the project is expected to begin in 2023.
Through traffic on Iowa 9 would be detoured using Howard County Roads V-46 (Robin Avenue), A-46 (150th Street) and V-58 (Willow Ave). For more information, see the website listed below.
