Members of AFBF’s national Promotion & Education Committee look forward to making significant progress toward their goals in 2016 according to Chair Chris Hoffman, a Pennsylvania hog and poultry farmer. The committee was launched in December 2014 to develop and centralize resources that inspire and equip Farm Bureau members to convey the significance of agriculture.
“It’s been an exciting first year,” Hoffman says. A major accomplishment has been narrowing down a plethora of creative ideas surfaced by the committee members to areas of special focus. These include advocating for agriculture, building a strong resource base and communicating consistently about hot topics that are generating media and/or social media interest.
