The temporary stay the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals handed down on Friday means the Environmental Protection Agency cannot enforce its Waters of the U.S. Rule nationwide. The stay will remain in effect until the court rules on whether it has jurisdiction to hear the case.
“Longer-term, I think we need to focus on changing EPA’s position,” explained AFBF’s Don Parrish in Tuesday’s Newsline (October 13, 2015). Farm Bureau is urging Congress to intervene legislatively on the rule.
