Iowa Farm Bureau-mentored entrepreneurs shine on IPTV series "Iowa Entrepreneur"
Iowa Farm Bureau’s Renew Rural Iowa (RRIA) program, now in its 10 th year of providing mentoring, guidance, and financial resources to Iowa entrepreneurs, is in the spotlight once again. Several alumni from the RRIA program are featured on the second season of Iowa Public Television’s (IPTV) series Iowa Entrepreneur.
Sukup Manufacturing Company, a family-owned worldwide grain bin manufacturer and former Iowa Farm Bureau RRIA Entrepreneur Award recipient, will be featured on during the May 26 episode of Iowa Entrepreneur.
Iowa Farm Bureau’s innovative RRIA program works to enhance and improve economic growth across the state. RRIA is designed to help increase the enterprise value of new and existing businesses in Iowa’s small towns just like Elkader, through a program of business education, mentoring, and finding the financial resources needed to help businesses grow. The successful program brings together seasoned business experts and critical resources at each seminar, so Iowa business owners can tap into the wide array of services offered.
“Over the past decade, the Renew Rural Iowa program has mentored some of Iowa’s most successful and innovative entrepreneurs, helping them chase their dreams and reach their goals,” says Sandy Ehrig, Iowa Farm Bureau economic development administrator. “Rural Iowa is full of success stories where entrepreneurs have identified a market and opportunity and started or grown their business accordingly. Just as we were excited to see entrepreneurs we mentored win national acclaim in the American Farm Bureau Rural Entrepreneurship Challenge we are equally excited to see the stories of those we have connected and encouraged get the spotlight through IPTV’s Iowa Entrepreneur program.”
Iowa Entrepreneur airs on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 a.m. on IPTV.
RRIA is an Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) initiative supporting new and existing businesses through the five pillars of education, mentoring, connecting, recognition, and financing.
