The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) received numerous awards at the 2022 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention this week in Atlanta including the Pinnacle Award, the highest honor a state Farm Bureau can be awarded for program and membership achievement.

IFBF also earned the New Horizon Award in recognition of the organization’s Grow Your Future Award program that encourages and promotes young farmer entrepreneurs while providing them an opportunity to expand their ag-related business with cash prizes. Now in its fourth year, winners of the 2022 Grow Your Future Award will be announced on Jan. 29 at IFBF’s Young Farmer Conference in Des Moines with the first-place winner receiving $7,500 cash prize; 2nd place $5,000; and 3rd place $2,500.

Additionally, IFBF earned Awards of Excellence in all four program areas for implementing outstanding member programs and achieving membership in 2021. The four program areas include: Advocacy, Coalitions and Partnerships, Engagement and Outreach and Leadership and Business Development.

“Iowa Farm Bureau members have much to be proud of this week after receiving several national awards and recognitions for programs that serve our members,” said Iowa Farm Bureau president Brent Johnson. “Earning the coveted AFBF Pinnacle Award and New Horizon Award is a tremendous honor and affirms the successful leadership of our staff, members, and direction of our grassroots organization to continue service to our members through innovative and dynamic programs.”
