The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Wednesday, June 5, to discuss the proposed improvements and right of way needs for Interstate 80 from east of Iowa City in Johnson County, approximately 1.5 miles west of Herbert Hoover Highway, to east of West Branch at Charles Avenue in Cedar County. The proposed improvements include widening Interstate 80 from four to six lanes and reconstructing the interchange at Herbert Hoover Highway.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 113 N. 1st Street, in West Branch. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
