The House recently passed by voice vote H.R. 5883, the Clarification of Treatment of Electronic Sales of Livestock Act of 2016, as amended. The bill expand Packers & Stockyards Act definitions to include the use of Internet and video auctions and updates payment methods to include the use of electronic fund transfers.  

Farm Bureau supports the bipartisan Senate companion bill S. 3350, the Clarification of Treatment of Electronic Sales of Livestock Act of 2016, introduced by Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) and Sen. John Tester (D-Mont.).
