Holiday Eating Without the Guilt

We all start the holiday season with good intentions. But when we see another plate full of Christmas cookies — at the church celebration, at the bank, at the office holiday party, it’s hard to stick to our healthy eating goals.

Jenny Norgaard, a dietician at the North Ankeny Hy-Vee, says it’s OK to indulge in our favorite treats every once in a while. The key to maintaining a healthy weight is sticking to an overall good eating plan, so you have a little wiggle room to enjoy a holiday cookie.
