Charging farmers a road-use tax on diesel fuel used for off-road field work and harvesting would be inequitable and is the wrong way for Iowa to make up its growing shortfall in funding for road and bridge repairs, said Craig Hill, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) president.
