Drying herbs hang like curtains all across the shop at Prairieland Herbs outside Woodward. Grown during warmer weather, the herbs provide the base for numerous products created by mother-daughter duo Donna Kulseth and Maggie Howe.

Their shop is open Thursday through Saturday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. year-round. Once a month, they host a Sample Sunday for customers.

The women were shocked when their business based off Kulseth’s vast knowledge of botany and Howe’s marketing skills took off in popularity with customers.
