Free Webinars on Agricultural Safety Offered

Consider joining two webinars on agricultural safety presented by the U.S. Agricultural Safety and Health Centers and AFBF, hosted by the University of Florida IFAS Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources. The webinars are part of 2017 Agricultural Safety Awareness Program Week (March 5-11), which focuses on respect for “safe spaces” around hazardous farm equipment and tasks. The webinars are each 1 hour long and start at 12 p.m. Central Standard Time:
Friday, March 10 – “When Machines Meet the Road: Farm Equipment Crashes on Public Highways” will be presented by Marizen Ramirez, MPH, PhD and Karissa Harland, MPH, PhD.
Monday, March 13 – “Why we Need to ‘Be Calm’ Around Animals: the Importance of Reminding Staff to Think and Slow Down” presented by Jeff Bender, DVM, MS DACVPM.
