Farm bill delayed by packed Congressional calendar

Farm Bureau members in Iowa and around the country pushed hard during the recent Congressional recess to pressure lawmakers into taking action on a new farm bill and other key measures for agriculture.
But with the Congressional calendar packed in September, it’s not likely lawmakers will take much action on the farm issues until well into the fall, Congressional observers said last week.
