EPA proposal threatens rural development

There’s lots of talk these days about the potential of a dire future for corn prices if the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) goes through with its recent proposal to sharply reduce ethanol requirements in the country’s fuel supply. But maybe more at risk if the agency’s proposal is the future of Iowa’s rural communities and a number of rural development efforts that have germinated over the past few years.
