Pork dishes win championship and youth division at Iowa Farm Bureau cookout. 

Kaden Weber and teammate Tyler Koch of Clinton County were named champions of the 61st annual Iowa Farm Bureau Iowa State Fair Cookout Contest with their signature smoked pork rump ribs.

More than 50 contestants competed along the Iowa State Fair’s Grand Concourse Aug. 12 for $4,600 in cash prizes. Weber and Koch competed under the team name Rural Rumps. The duo received $1,000, the champion’s crown and a trophy. They also earned $400 for winning the pork division and another $200 for winning the showmanship category.
