When Tom Mulholl­and walks down the aisles of his family's grocery store in Malvern, he’s following in the footsteps of the four generations who have owned and operated the southwest Iowa business.

Tom’s great-grandfather started Mulholland’s in the 1890s as a dry goods store. Later on, Tom’s grandfather expanded it into a full-service grocery store.

“I worked for my grandfather occasionally, stocking shelves since I was (a kid) in the mid ‘60s,” Tom says.
