2025 Cedar County Farm Bureau Opinionnaire

This Opinionnaire contains questions on issues which we as a Cedar County Policy Development Committee feel are important to agriculture and the environment we live in. We would like to know your opinions on these questions so that we can accurately reflect the views of the majority when our official policy is adopted. It is important that we, in Farm Bureau, be right when we speak out from the grass roots for agriculture and farm people. Accountability of Elected Officials (State)
Currently Iowa does not allow for recall elections to remove elected officials outside of court proceedings.
1. Should citizens be able to remove elected officials through a petition and recall election process?

2. Should all retired farmers, regardless of how their operation is organized for tax purposes, be eligible to receive the same treatment as retired individuals who elect to exclude their farm rental income from state income tax?
