Join older, wiser, livelier, souls for the 2025 grand tour of the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area. 

June’s destination will be a visit to the Laura Ingles Wilder Museum & The Locust School in Burr Oak, Iowa on Thursday, June 19. Please plan to meet at Osborne Park at 9:30 a.m. to carpool to our destination.

This O.W.L.S. adventure will take you back in time to the pioneer era with these two amazing historic sites. Each site is part of the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area. Join us the third Thursday of each month, March through November, for O.W.L.S., Older Wiser Livelier Souls. Each month will feature a new Silos and Smokestacks Site, so join us as we explore more of the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area.
