Ingredients:

  • 1 box of bowtie pasta, cooked
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup pasta water
  • 1 tablespoon half and half
  • 2 cups mozzarella, shredded

 

Instructions:

  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cook the pasta to al dente according to directions on box. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  • Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large, oven-safe pot or skillet on high.
  • Add ground beef, and brown.
  • Add salt, pepper, garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire, tomato paste and pasta water. Stir well. Turn heat to low, and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup mozzarella, half and half, and pasta. Stir until cheese is melted.
  • Top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake until cheese is barely melted.
