County and City Zoning

Counties and cities may establish zoning ordinances that regulate buildings, structures, and land uses. However, state law prohibits these ordinances from regulating agriculture, including farm land, buildings or structures (including farm homes), unless they're in a flood plain. Despite this fact, some county and city zoning ordinance are written or enforced in a way that regulates agriculture.
