The Clayton County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program is gearing up for another exciting year of agricultural education. The Ag in the Classroom coordinator is already busy planning lessons and activities for the 2026-2027 school year.
“I am so excited to get started with this upcoming year,” said Elizabeth Blake, Ag in the Classroom coordinator. “We have so many new lessons in the works, and I can’t wait to bring them to even more classrooms across the county.”
The Ag in the Classroom program provides hands-on, engaging lessons that teach students about where their food comes from, the importance of agriculture in their daily lives, and the many careers connected to the industry. Lessons are tailored to grade levels and connect agriculture to science, math, social studies, and literacy standards.
“This year, I’m looking forward to not only visiting classrooms I’ve worked with before but also reaching new teachers and students,” Blake added. “I hope to continue growing this program and making agriculture come alive for kids.”
