Market Study Trip: Brussels / Netherlands

India International Market Study Trip

February 19 – February 28, 2027

With nearly 1.5 billion people, India is the world’s most populous nation and a key growth market for U.S. agriculture as it works to diversify beyond Chinese demand. India’s expanding economy is driving greater demand for diverse foods and higher-value protein, presenting a long-term opportunity for Iowa’s agricultural producers. In response, Iowa has increased engagement with Indian leaders and institutions to strengthen agricultural ties.

Building on this momentum, Iowa Farm Bureau will lead a market study tour to India, giving members firsthand exposure to this emerging market. Participants will meet with key agricultural stakeholders, tour representative farms and agribusinesses, and gain insight into India’s agricultural systems and consumer trends. The tour will also include cultural and historical experiences across several Indian states, providing important context and a deeper understanding of the country shaping the future of global agriculture.
