  • Brent crude oil fell $2.41 and currently priced at $73.09.
  • One year ago, WTI crude sold for $40.62 and Brent crude was at $43.28.

Motor Fuels

  • As of Wednesday, July 7, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.97 across Iowa according to AAA.
    • Prices were up 1 cent from last week’s price and $.87 higher than one year ago.
    • The national average on Wednesday was $3.14, up 2 cents from last week’s price.
  • Retail diesel prices in Iowa were steady this week with a statewide average of $3.10.
    • One year ago, diesel prices averaged $2.25 in Iowa.
    • The current Iowa diesel price is 16 cents less than the national average of $3.26.
  • Wholesale ethanol fell 10 cents and is currently priced at $2.38.
  • The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.14 for U87-E10, $2.39 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $2.17 for ULSD#2, $2.33 for ULSD#1, and $2.33 per gallon for E-70 prices.

Heating Fuels

  • Natural gas prices fell 9 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $3.53/MMbtu.
